GAWANG TAHANAN s a ceramic ware brand featuring hand-crafted pieces made and designed by seasoned ceramic artist Rita Gudiño, and Mexican potter, Vicente Gudiño. Together they create a unique line of utilitarian objects for the table, kitchen, bath, garden and home decor collections. Their works feature a range of both streamlined as well as rough and organic forms that are both simple and straightforward but always with a focal element of interest. Their glazes and colors offer a selection of minimalist hues, natural earth tones, as well as bright vivid colors.
Rita Gudiño
Prior to becoming a full-time ceramic artist and educator, Rita Gudiño worked as a product designer for Design Center Philippines and for ceramic manufacturing companies. From these working experiences, she drew the same care and thought she gave into creating her conceptual sculptural forms into developing functional works for Gawang Tahanan. Each piece is designed not only to be sculpturally interesting but also naturally functional.
