NELFA QUERUBIN pioneered studio pottery at a time when clay was not considered a Fine Art medium. She is the recipients of the 1980 prestigious Thirteen Artists Award of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Nelfa had 20 solo shows including 3 retrospective exhibitions in local as well as international venues. She authored two books, Clay and Wood-firing and Life with Clay.
