No Cancellation Policy for Students Enrolled in a Class. Paid students can no longer cancel their registration in a class
Your slot, however, is transferable or can be rescheduled, provided that the class has not started. No Show Policy for Students Enrolled in a Workshop. As our workshops have limited slots available, the workshop fee of students who are unable to attend the scheduled workshop regardless of whatever reason will be forfeited.
No Refund Policy
No refunds will be given, should students be unavailable to continue with the class for some reason.
Minimum Enrollment Requirement
A minimum of four students is required for a class/workshop schedule to push through. Should a class have less than four students enrolled, students may be requested to transfer to available class/workshop schedules, or the class/workshop may be rescheduled until the minimum enrollment requirement is reached. Payments shall be refunded if class schedule is cancelled.
MAKE-UP SESSION
Forming Sessions. Only one make-up session will be scheduled with students enrolled in the class regardless
of the number of sessions missed.
Make-up sessions should be scheduled before the glazing session and within the duration of the class, on an agreed date and time with TAHANAN.
GLAZING SESSION
Should a student be absent on the last day of the classes or the glazing session, the student can arrange with the teacher through TAHANAN if they will be amenable to a dedicated glazing make-up session. If the teacher is not available, the student has an option to wait for their teacher’s next glazing session with the next batch of students or can join another teacher’s glazing session. TAHANAN must be informed of the final arrangement.
STUDIO USE
Students are allowed to complete their project or to practice in the Studio an hour before or after their
classes. This is only allowed should the studio be free from other classes/workshops. Please confer with TAHANAN
to make such arrangements. Should a student wish to use the studios any additional time or day other than their
class hours and the one-hour grace period before and after classes, then the student must pay for Studio Use. Please set an appointment with Tahanan to ensure a space or wheel is available for your use. Log in your time in and time out at the front desk to compute your Studio Use hours and rental fee.
GLAZING
The glazing session is scheduled for the last session of the class. All works must be submitted on the session
before the glazing session. Works submitted after this session may not be included in the scheduled bisque firing. The student may glaze pieces on an agreed schedule with TAHANAN, and the Studio Use fee will apply. Students
must properly glaze their works to avoid thick applications. Students must also wipe the bottom of their work to
remove any traces of glaze residue. Thick applications and glaze residue on the bottom of your works can fuse your work on the kiln shelf after firing. TAHANAN shall assess any loss or damages to kiln shelves. Responsible parties may be charged damages or losses due to improper glaze application and procedures.
FIRING
TAHANAN will not be held responsible for breakage of work, cracks that occur during firing, or below-expectation glazing results. Although the utmost care will be taken when firing the work provided, there is always a chance the piece will crack or potentially explode due to issues such as errors in craftsmanship, excessive thickness, or possible kiln malfunction.
CLAIMING OF WORKS
Tahanan will notify students if works are ready for claiming. Works may be claimed only up to one to two months after the class ends. Unclaimed works shall be disposed of or sold in Tahanan’s Clearance Sales. Students must sign for all claimed works.
